Bei dem Debut (80min) von Marcel A. Heizmann handelt es sich um ein klassisches Drama mit Crime, Comedy und Mystik Elementen.
Es wurde mit Arri Kamera/ Licht und Equipment gedreht, wie auch mit den oscarprämierten Cookie Objektiven.

It was shot with Arri camera/lighting and equipment, as well as Oscar-winning Cookie lenses.

Wir hatten nicht nur dieses Glück, sondern haben unerwartet auch noch den "BEST INTERNATIONAL FILM 2025" Preis gewonnen für ZENTRAL GELEGEN. Internationaler Titel WHEN THE EAST IS IN THE HOUSE in Hollywood - Los Angeles. Das ganze Team bedankt sich und wir ziehen unseren Hut. Die Festivalwoche war aufregend und vielfältig. Es war ein einzigartiges Erlebenis.
The world premiere took place on September 10, 2025, at the legendary TCL Chinese 6 Theater during the Silicon Beach Film Festival. Not only were we lucky enough to attend, but we also unexpectedly won the “BEST INTERNATIONAL FILM 2025” award for ZENTRAL GELEGEN. International title WHEN THE EAST IS IN THE HOUSE in Hollywood - Los Angeles. The whole team would like to express our gratitude and we take our hats off to you. The festival week was exciting and diverse. It was a unique experience.

Das erste Screening, bzw. die Weltpremiere fand am 10.09.25 im TCL Chinese 6 Theatre statt in Hollywood. Die Festival DCP mit englischen Untertiteln wurde im August 2025 erstmalig erstellt.
General note: The first screening, or world premiere, took place on September 10, 2025, at the TCL Chinese 6 Theatre. The festival DCP with English subtitles was first created in August 2025.
Was macht den Film besonders? Der Film wurde in 5 Drehblöcken verwirklicht, insbesondere in den Anfängen mit Teilweise nur 2-3 Leuten hinter der Kamera, jeder der sich mit Arri Equipment auskennt, weiß sofort was dies bedeutet (Workflow, etc..), zudem war Corona noch die Agenda und viele Drehblöcke, Szenen platzten aufgrund der Gegebenheiten. Der Film war auf 120 min geplant, der Regisseur hat dann letztendlich, schwerenherzens eine dynamische 80 min Version gestaltet, mit der er Daccord gehen konnte und die sich nicht verstecken muss. Ein besonderer Berlin Film ist entstanden und verdient unser aller Aufmerksamkeit. Teilstücke sind nach wahren Begebenheite und aus dem öffentlichen Verkehr (Tram) aufgehaschte Geschichten, die alle zu einer Geschichte zusammengewebt sind. Wolfgang Eichner dient als Inspirationsquelle, es handelt sich aber nicht um ein Bio Pic des ehemaligen Amtmanns im Verwalterhaus, wie Nicolai Friedhof im Prenzlauer Berg.
What makes this film special? The film was shot in five blocks, especially in the early stages with only two or three people behind the camera. Anyone familiar with Arri equipment knows immediately what this means (workflow, etc.). In addition, COVID-19 was still on the agenda and many shooting blocks and scenes were canceled due to the circumstances. The film was planned to be 120 minutes long, but in the end, the director reluctantly created a dynamic 80-minute version that he could agree with and that doesn't need to hide. The result is a special Berlin film that deserves our attention. Storylines based on true events and picked up from public transport (trams), all woven together into one story. Wolfgang Eichner serves as a source of inspiration, but this is not a biopic about the former bailiff in the administrator's house, like Nicolai Churchyard in Berlin Prenzlauer Berg.
